Bengals try to halt skid against winless Dolphins despite injury concerns
The Cincinnati Bengals head to Miami Gardens, Fla., Sunday to face winless Dolphins (0-4), under growing pressure after dropping consecutive games by five points or fewer since a 2-0 start. Coach Zac Taylor is trying to stabilize things before the team’s bye. Miami has yet to win, but its defense has improved over the past two weeks. Cincinnati could be without top targets: Ja’Marr Chase is in concussion protocol and Tee Higgins didn’t practice Wednesday due to an adductor injury. The Bengals rank fifth in passing (277.5 yards) but are last in the AFC and 31st overall in rushing (74.3). Joe Burrow is fifth in passing yards (292.8) and completion percentage (71.3). Miami’s run defense allows 3.6 yards per carry. Cincinnati also lists multiple other players limited or not practicing, while Miami lost De’Von Achane to a torn ACL in Week 3.
