Bobcats' boys soccer gets first win to lead Top Performers (August 24-29)

Cambridge High School’s boys soccer team opened the 2024-25 stretch with a breakthrough win, posting a 5-0 victory over New Lexington on Saturday in a road match. David Garcia led the scoring with four goals, while Jaxon Fellows added one. Coach JR Fox credited the effort for a team that was playing its third game of the week, emphasizing improved teamwork and intensity. Jaxon Fellows scored for Cambridge (1-3), and Quentin Stora recorded a shutout with five saves. On the girls’ side, Cambridge tennis earned its first win with a 4-1 result at East Liverpool, highlighted by straight-set singles victories. The Bobcats also notched results in cross country at the Claymont Early Bird Invitational, with several medalists.
