Boston College Football Early Opponent Preview, Game 6: Pitt

Boston College will host Pitt for its Week Seven game after a bye week in the 2026 season following a trip to SMU on Oct. 3. Pitt enters with quarterback Mason Heintschel, who started nine games as a true freshman in 2025 after beginning the year as a backup to Eli Holstein. His first career start against BC produced 323 yards and four touchdowns on 73.2% completions in a 48-7 rout. Offensively, Heintschel threw for 2,354 yards with 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 2025, while Ja’Kyrian “Boosie” Turner added 745 rushing yards and seven TDs. Defensively, Pitt’s 2025 linebacker group included Kyle Louis, Rasheem Biles, and Braylon Lovelace.
