Both World Cup semifinals are clashes of giants - one is the much hotter ticket
The 2026 World Cup semifinals are shaping up as two marquee clashes, but ticket demand is skewing heavily toward the England vs. Argentina matchup. France faces Spain in the first semifinal on Wednesday, while England plays Argentina in the second semifinal the following day, with the London-stage star power of Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, Lamine Yamal and Harry Kane driving interest. As of Sunday night, the cheapest “get-in” ticket for England-Argentina nearly reached $3,000 (£2,242) on resale sites after the fixture was set. By contrast, France-Spain fell from more than $3,600 on July 4 to under $1,400 (£1,046) by Sunday, according to TicketData.com. FIFA’s platform mirrored this split, with England-Argentina at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium selling out at $3,545 in category 1, while France-Spain at AT&T Stadium still had more than 1,500 tickets listed across categories 1 and 2.
