Broncos survive brutal 6-game stretch thanks to the defense but Bo Nix is mired in a worsening slump
The Denver Broncos are 4-2 and winning with defense, but their offense remains stuck, highlighted in a 17-14 overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. Denver logged 17 quarterback hits—matching the number of completions Bo Nix recorded against the reigning Super Bowl champions. The Broncos drew another close result despite missing cornerback Pat Surtain II and starting safety Talanoa Hufanga, both sidelined by injuries. Nix threw for 107 yards five days after managing 123 versus the Chargers, with no pass going beyond eight yards past the line of scrimmage and only four carries for two yards. Vance Joseph’s defense again delivered: Ja’Quan McMillian had a first-drive sack, and his overtime interception set up Wil Lutz’s game-winning field goal.
