Buccaneers stun Cowboys for first win of NFL season

Backup plan Jalon Daniels turned into the headline as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stunned the Dallas Cowboys 24-16 in Dallas on Thursday for their first NFL win of the season. With Baker Mayfield sidelined after dislocating his right thumb, the undrafted rookie quarterback—making his second start—went 19 of 25 for 189 yards and a touchdown. Tampa trailed 10-7 at halftime, then outscored Dallas 17-0 in the third quarter to take control. Alex Anzalone sealed it with an interception of a potential game-tying pass from Dak Prescott with 1:16 left. Bucky Irving had a career-high 165 rushing yards and a TD.
