Central Catholic football dominates ground game during win over BC High

No. 24 BC High came to Lawrence for a top-25 clash against fifth-ranked Central Catholic on Friday, but Central Catholic dominated the ground game in a 34-0 shutout. Fifth-year coach John Dubzinski, in his first season, leaned on a physical, run-heavy approach that controlled the line of scrimmage and set the tone early. Quarterback Caden Smith, a two-time defending Merrimack Valley Conference player of the year, scored twice with rushing touchdowns—one from four yards and another from three—while Drew O’Keefe added a 33-yard jet sweep score.
