Chase Curren breaks Crespi football record in rout of Harvard-Westlake

Crespi junior quarterback Chase Curren broke the school record for career passing touchdowns as the program rolled to a 49-0 rout of Harvard-Westlake on Saturday night in Studio City. Curren wasn’t focused on celebrating despite the decisive score; Crespi recovered a kickoff on the first play, setting the tone early. He threw three touchdown passes and also ran for another. His 54th career touchdown pass moved him past his offensive coordinator, Bryan Bennett, for the top mark in Crespi history. Crespi (6-1, 2-0 in the Del Rey League) kept pace with Salesian for first place. Curren, who attends Crespi while traveling from Manhattan Beach, credited Bennett for both physical and mental development.
