Chiefs get bad news on Rashee Rice for Chargers' Week 6 matchup

The Kansas City Chiefs, one of three remaining undefeated teams at 4-0, received bad news for their Week 6 matchup: Rashee Rice and offensive tackle Josh Simmons will not play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Citing Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star, the report says both Rice and Simmons are ruled out. The Chiefs’ offense already lost wide receiver Tyquan Thornton for the rest of the season after a severe ankle injury in Week 4, and now Rice’s absence further depletes a thin receiving group. Xavier Worthy is listed as WR1, with Jalen Royals, Cyrus Allen and Nikko Remigio filling out the depth chart. Justin Watson, recently signed, could be activated to add depth. The Chargers enter at 0-5.
