Clemson Tumbles in ESPN's Future Power Rankings

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg released the Future Power Rankings through the 2027 season, placing Clemson at No. 22 after a dramatic drop from No. 7 a year earlier. The ranking assesses quarterback situation, offensive and defensive line outlook, roster management, star power, and coaching staff. Clemson is expected to rely on junior Christopher Vizzina, Cade Klubnik’s backup, or incoming four-star recruit Tait Reynolds this season and into 2027. The Tigers did not add a transfer in the immediate offseason but pursued the portal in 2026, bringing in multiple players, including SMU transfer Chris Johnson Jr. on offense and bolstering the defense with several portal additions.
