Coinbase Climbs to No. 3 on XRP Rich List After 146 Hidden Wallets Labeled

Coinbase jumped to No. 3 on the XRP Rich List after XRPScan resolved a major one-hour inflow scare. On Sept. 8, 2026, on-chain bots appeared to show the biggest single-hour XRP exchange inflow on record: Coinbase XRP wallets allegedly gained more than 5.5 billion tokens in sixty minutes. XRPScan quickly said the tokens were already in Coinbase accounts; the blockchain explorer had not yet labeled the wallets. The +5,569,165,957 XRP (+4,870.7%) was instead a “re-tag” from the “Unknown” bucket into the Coinbase cluster, confirmed at 10:35 UTC. Coinbase’s recognized holdings are now 5,683,635,165 XRP across 152 accounts, about 5.684% of total supply. Ripple remains first (26 accounts), Upbit second, and Binance fourth.
