Could Seattle Seahawks Replace Sam Darnold With Next-Gen Russell Wilson? New NFL Draft Report Opens Door

Speculation is growing that the Seattle Seahawks could move on from starting quarterback Sam Darnold after another difficult season. Seattle signed him to a three-year, $100.5 million contract last year, but while he helped the franchise win its second Super Bowl, this year he is tied for the league lead with eight interceptions and ranks near the bottom among starters in passing yards and passer rating. The Seahawks could consider options beyond current backup Drew Lock, depending on how the next draft shapes up. On the Todd McShay Show, analysts discussed Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita, citing his quick reads and compact 5-foot-10 stature. In seven starts, Fifita has thrown 2,064 yards with 18 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
