Dak Prescott will only go as far as his left tackle situation allows
Dak Prescott’s 2026 outlook hinges on how quickly the Dallas Cowboys can settle the left tackle position protecting his blind side. Dallas returns all 11 offensive starters, including CeeDee Lamb, Javonte Williams, and an interior line led by Tyler Smith, Cooper Beebe, and sophomore Tyler Booker, under head coach Brian Schottenheimer and offensive line coach Klayton Adams. Training camp is set to open in California later this month, but the starters’ decision remains unresolved. The job has narrowed to a two-man race between 2024 first-round pick Tyler Guyton and seventh-round developmental tackle Nate Thomas. Guyton has 21 career starts, yet last season brought 31 pressures and six hits allowed in 648 snaps and a knee injury plus a high ankle sprain that ended his year early. Thomas is also viewed as risky after a near-bottom Pro Football Focus ranking. With a major Week 1 ahead, the line’s stability is crucial.
