Darnold owns up to mistakes in OT loss: Late picks 'not fair' to Seahawks

Sam Darnold acknowledged his late mistakes after the Seahawks blew a fourth-quarter comeback and fell 17-14 to the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. Seattle rallied from a 14-3 deficit after 45 minutes of offensive struggles, but Darnold threw another interception in regulation and another in overtime, spoiling a strong defensive effort. The loss dropped the reigning Super Bowl champions to 3-3 and moved them 2.5 games behind the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West. Darnold said it’s “not fair” to keep turning the ball over, noting he has seven interceptions in four games since returning from a glute injury. Seattle managed 91 yards in the first half, with Darnold sacked five times.
