Details of Nate Ament's rookie contract with the Milwaukee Bucks
Nate Ament has officially signed with the Milwaukee Bucks, after being selected 13th overall in the NBA Draft. Ament, previously rated a five-star prospect and among the top five players in the 2025 class, went “one and done” at Tennessee and was drafted following the Volunteers’ recent draft success under Rick Barnes. The Bucks agreed to a four-year contract worth $25.9 million, paying him $5.5 million annually as a rookie. His salary is set to rise to $8.6 million in the fourth year, and he will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2030–2031 season. At Tennessee, Ament was the highest-ever rated player for Rick Barnes, with the school reportedly paying somewhere around $4 million to secure him. Scouts were divided early on in college, but he declared for the draft and is now expected to replace Giannis Antetokounmpo. His Summer League debut arrives Friday, July 10 at 4 p.m. ET on Prime, against the Miami Heat.
