Dolphins first-round pick Kadyn Proctor starting NFL career at guard

The Miami Dolphins opened their 2026 rebuild along the offensive line by shifting first-round pick Kadyn Proctor from left tackle to left guard as he starts his NFL career. During the third practice, veteran defensive lineman Zach Sieler beat Proctor on the final play, creating a clear shot at quarterback Malik Willis before the whistle. Proctor, the 12th overall selection, said it’s part of learning, especially in pass protection where defenders “grab the arm and pull.” At 6-foot-7 and 352 pounds, Proctor is focused on guard, though coach Jeff Hafley said the team may consider reps at tackle. Miami’s 2026 tackles are Patrick Paul and Austin Jackson.
