Donald Trump and LeBron James feud has roots going back a decade

Donald Trump renewed his feud with LeBron James this season, posting on social media that James was a “TOTAL DISGRACE” for not standing for the national anthem before the Philadelphia 76ers opened against the New York Knicks. James replied later with “Slow news day at the office,” but the conflict stretches back about a decade, with Trump’s campaign support and personal insults evolving alongside James’ political activism. The article cites past exchanges including James calling Trump a “bum,” Trump questioning James’ intelligence and saying he “might be a ‘racist,’” and public comments tied to Martin Luther King Day and the Jan. 6 Capitol unrest. It also notes Trump’s July discussion when asked about the greatest player of all time.
