Double-digit Clemson football players already ruled out for Cal showdown

Clemson will travel to face Cal on Friday with major injury absences affecting its roster. Three days before kickoff in Berkeley, both teams released injury reports, with Cal potentially missing four players. Clemson, meanwhile, listed 11 players as out: safety Polo Anderson; cornerback Shavar Young Jr.; wide receivers Cole Turner and Keil McGriff; running back Peyton Streko; defensive tackles Hevin Brown-Shuler, Kourtney Kelly and Markus Strong; linebacker Joseph Roberto II; and offensive linemen Adam Guthrie and Mason Wade. Cornerback Corian Gipson, running back Jay Haynes, and defensive tackle Devarrick Woods are questionable. Quarterback Christopher Vizzina is probable, but his elbow injury last affected the team after LSU’s blowout loss and a 22-7 win over Georgia Southern.
