Drop the Tough Act and Just Be a Troll": Matt Barnes Rips Dillon Brooks for Backing Down From Draymond Green

Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks’ “tough” on-court persona came under fire after a scuffle with Golden State’s Draymond Green that ended with Brooks getting a technical foul and Green an ejection on review. Former NBA player Matt Barnes said on his “All The Smoke” podcast that Brooks should “drop the tough act and just be a troll,” arguing that Green turned toward him and Brooks didn’t escalate. Barnes said Brooks benefits from picking and choosing matchups, while Green likely would have “got hands put on him” had it continued. The incident followed Green’s earlier confrontation with Phoenix big man Khaman Maluach.
