ESPN names 10 favorite SEC football transfers of 2026
ESPN analyst Bill Connelly has highlighted his 10 favorite SEC transfer additions for the 2026 season, noting how the transfer portal is reshaping conference rosters again. Texas and LSU account for seven of the picks, while Auburn and Missouri also appear with multiple choices. The selections span positions across the depth chart, from quarterbacks and running backs to linebackers and offensive linemen, with Connelly projecting several players to contribute immediately. Among the quarterbacks, Auburn’s Byrum Brown is featured after transferring from USF with a record that included 42 total touchdowns and more than 4,200 combined passing and rushing yards. Texas linebacker Rasheem Biles is tied to production of 15 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and two interceptions. LSU’s Jordan Seaton is noted for allowing zero sacks and a 1.1% blown-block rate, while Connelly also names experienced LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt. The list underscores a competitive 2026 outlook as programs try to upgrade quickly through transfers.
