Ex-USC basketball star Chad Baker-Mazara files lawsuit after split, claims coach Eric Musselman went on 'racially-charged tirade'

Chad Baker-Mazara, the former USC basketball guard, has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles claiming head coach Eric Musselman subjected him to a “profanity-laced, racially-charged” tirade in the locker room after USC’s 28 February loss to Nebraska. Baker-Mazara and the Trojans split days later, with his departure announced on 1 March ahead of USC’s Big Ten tournament run. The suit alleges breach of contract, conversion, and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage. It also claims USC terminated NIL agreements via a “morals clause.” Baker-Mazara, who transferred from Auburn and averaged career highs of 18.5 points and 4.2 rebounds, is expected to play in Puerto Rico this season.
