Fallout 76's' Much-Awaited PS5, Xbox Series S/X Versions Are Finally Coming -- But When?

Bethesda confirmed Fallout 76 will receive present-gen upgrades for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a public playtest scheduled for June to evaluate performance before the summer launch. The updated versions aim for 60fps and improved shadows and draw distances, with VRR support on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S.

Fallout 76, launched in 2018, has evolved with NPCs and other updates, and Season 25 Infestation brings new content. Patch notes indicate the public playtest will run in June and the official launch in summer, with potential announcements during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7. Season 25 also adds fishing from June 23.
