Fantasy Football Week 5 Fades & Busts: Jalen Hurts is officially out of the top 12

Fantasy Football Week 5 focuses on players labeled as potential “fades” and “busts” for the 2026 season, with the note that the designations don’t automatically mean sitting starters—it depends on roster needs and waiver options. Jalen Hurts, listed as QB for the Eagles at Jaguars, is said to be out of the top 12 after declining production: fantasy points fell from 24.72 in Week 1 to 13.62 and 13.52 in the last two weeks. The article ties the drop mainly to reduced rushing output—26 rushing yards per game since last season start—and relatively limited passing production (178.3 yards per game). It also flags David Montgomery of the Texans at Titans as a disappointment, citing low yards per carry (2.7) and reduced explosive runs.
