Football - Solihull Moors complete trio of new signings ahead of pre-season opener as the club adds three players before its first pre-season match against local rivals Knowle. Solihull have signed goalkeeper Nathaniel Ford, midfielder Rio Shipston, and defender Jevon Mills, with Mills returning for a second spell. The club expects all three to feature in the opener versus Knowle. Manager Chris Millington cited Ford’s previous work relationship, attitude, commitment in training, and potential as reasons for the move, while describing Shipston’s technical ability and willingness to take risks in breaking lines. For Mills, Millington said the 22-year-old has the tools to develop as a center back and referenced his earlier time at the club. Ford arrives from Halifax Town; Shipston joins from Sheffield Wednesday after four Championship appearances; Mills returns after nine National League appearances in 2022/23, including one goal.
