Christian Anderson Jr., the Charlotte Hornets’ 18th overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft, arrives after a standout sophomore season at Texas Tech. The 6-foot-1 guard earned third-team All-American honors, averaging 18.5 points, 7.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals, while shooting 41.5% from 3-point range. He was fifth nationally in total assists with 244 and 11th in minutes at 1,266, setting Texas Tech’s single-season program record for assists and knocking down 108 threes. Anderson also recorded at least eight assists in eight games. He debuted in Hornets summer league, averaging 10.4 points and 4.2 assists over five games, and is one of two Hornets first-round picks alongside Hannes Steinbach.
