Giants need more from Cam Skattebo after latest injury update

Cam Skattebo’s workload and health became the key storyline for the New York Giants after his latest injury update. In Week 7, New York beat the Houston Texans 27-21 in overtime, with Skattebo leading the run game using 17 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown, including a 42-yard run in overtime that helped set up Devin Singletary’s winning score. After being limited to no touches in the Giants’ Week 6 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Skattebo’s role was already under pressure—especially after the team released Najee Harris. Now, Tyrone Tracy Jr. suffered a hamstring injury and will be placed on injured reserve; Tracy had six carries for 15 yards and a touchdown before leaving.
