Giants' Offensive Line Makeover Could Cost Jake Kubas His Roster Spot
The New York Giants’ offensive line makeover could cost Jake Kubas his roster spot as the team leans into a bigger interior build under head coach John Harbaugh. The Giants selected Francis Mauigoa, a 6-foot-5, 330-pound offensive tackle prospect from the University of Miami, planning to move him inside to guard. They also re-signed Evan Neal, listed at 6-foot-7 and 340 pounds, after a transition away from right tackle, and added Daniel Faalele from the Baltimore Ravens, a 6-foot-8, 380-pound guard. With those additions, the 6-foot-4, 308-pound Kubas, signed as a UDFA in 2024, could struggle to fit. Kubas appeared in six games and started four in 2024, but in 2025 he recorded no games, spending the season on the practice squad. Spotrac reports a one-year, $1.005 million deal with no signing bonus or guaranteed money.
