Global force: Beyond Soccer chosen for FIFA grant, celebrates 15 years

Beyond Soccer marks a milestone as one of FIFA’s Global Citizen Education Fund grant recipients, celebrating 15 years of growth. The Lawrence, Massachusetts nonprofit, founded by Stephanie McArdle and her mother, began from a Masconomet High School project and now serves thousands of youths through bilingual programs and local partnerships. The FIFA grant will support Academic Overtime, a tutoring and mentoring initiative offered in English and Spanish to expand access for underserved communities. McArdle notes the award helps formalize and deepen holistic support off the field. Over 15 years, Beyond Soccer has reached more than 8,000 youths with thousands of hours of camp and clinic time.
