How to watch Detroit Pistons broadcasts with an antenna in West Michigan

In West Michigan, a Grand Rapids family is turning to an over-the-air antenna to watch Detroit Pistons games after frustration with limited options and rising cable costs. Brad Jansen and his son attended last season’s Lakers matchup but struggled to find more Pistons coverage at home. With Pistons broadcasts coming to The Spot Grand Rapids 17, Jansen expects more opportunities; the station’s first regular-season Pistons airing is Friday night. He installed a home antenna this spring, saying it offers a more economical way to watch live TV without paying higher monthly bills through his internet provider. Jeramie Curtice of Transition TV, who has installed antennas since 2009, notes many customers ask about sports—especially before seasons begin.
