Iowa basketball offers 5-star center Bentley Lusakueno in 2028 class
Iowa basketball’s next recruiting push in the 2028 class is underscored by the program offering five-star center Bentley Lusakueno. Ben McCollum, in his early building phase in Iowa City, moved quickly after a solid 2025 group and added commitments for 2027, including a pair of prospects, Ethan Harris and Jaidyn Coon, plus a four-star forward Keller Daughtery. On Wednesday, Iowa made its first major outreach for 2028 by officially offering Lusakueno. The 6-foot-10 center from College Park, Georgia, and Woodward Academy is ranked seventh nationally in 2028 by 247Sports and holds nine Division I offers, including Florida State, Georgia, Miami, and Oregon. Lusakueno has also drawn USA Basketball attention, playing on the 2025 U16 National Team and earning finalist status for the 2026 U17 National Team.
