Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon kill 11, state media say

Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon killed at least 11 people, Lebanese state media reported. One strike hit a three-storey residential building in Kfar Rumman shortly after midnight, killing nine people. A second strike on a car killed two paramedics, according to the National News Agency. The Israeli military said it was looking into the reports. On Sunday, Israeli strikes killed seven people in southern Lebanon, with Israel saying it was retaliating for drone attacks by Hezbollah on its troops in occupied areas. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun warned the attacks were a “dangerous escalation” that could jeopardize the June US-brokered ceasefire.
