Karmine Corp, Dplus set to face off in Esports World Cup LOL final

Karmine Corp and Dplus will meet in the League of Legends final at the Esports World Cup in Paris on Sunday after both won their semifinal matches Saturday. Karmine Corp defeated T1 2-1, bouncing back after losing the first game in 32 minutes. It then won the next two maps in 30 and 38 minutes, including both on the blue side. Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert led Karmine Corp with 20 kills and nine deaths. Dplus advanced with a 2-1 win over Gen.G Esports, taking the opener in 49 minutes and then winning the deciding third game in 37 minutes after Gen.G tied the series. Sin “Smash” Guem-jae contributed 26 of Dplus’s 56 kills. The grand final awards $600,000 and 1,000 club points, with MVP earning an extra $25,000.
