Kawhi Leonard should pay back sponsorship money earned from Clippers' scheme, says former player

Danilo Gallinari, a former LA Clippers player, said Kawhi Leonard should repay sponsorship money linked to the Clippers’ alleged cap circumvention scheme, arguing the NBA’s $700,000 fine is not enough. Speaking on Gallinari’s “A Cresta Alta” podcast, Gallinari said Leonard should return every cent earned from “no-show” sponsorships and suggested donating the money to charity. The NBA found Leonard, through his representative and uncle Dennis Robertson, pushed the Clippers to obtain “off-court income opportunities” and failed to reimburse personal expenses. The league’s report doesn’t state how much Leonard made from the deals, including sponsorships with Aspiration, Boingo, Daktronics and Lockton.
