Lake Placid–NYC Winter Olympics 2042? Governor Kathy Hochul announced Monday a statewide effort to evaluate the feasibility of a future Winter Olympic Games, likely in 2042. Hochul said the Lake Placid–New York City Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Exploratory Committee will be guided by a leadership group chaired by Ashley Walden, president and CEO of the state Olympic Regional Development Authority.
