Micah Parsons has high praise for Lions OT Penei Sewell

Detroit Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell earned league-wide recognition Tuesday after being announced as the No. 37 player on the 2026 NFL Top 100 list voted by active players. Sewell’s respect among peers was underscored by comments from Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons, who spent his first four NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. Parsons compared Sewell to Philadelphia Eagles tackle Lane Johnson, saying Sewell understands his leverage and strength, and calling him “tough.” Sewell, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, is coming off his fifth Lions season with a fourth straight Pro Bowl selection and third consecutive First Team All-Pro after 16 games in 2025.
