Michigan Football Attempting to Flip Big Ten Commit Cain Brackney

Michigan football is pursuing additional linebackers for its 2027 class, which currently has only one linebacker committed. The Wolverines have reconnected with UCLA commit Cain Brackney, who has been tied to the Bruins since April 24 and visited Ann Arbor unofficially in late March. Brackney, a 6'2", 230-pound linebacker from Bixby, Oklahoma, has a solid offer sheet that includes Arkansas, SMU, West Virginia, and Indiana, among others, and he indicated after the visit that he was excited to return for another look during Victors Weekend. He is viewed as a physical tackler with downhill speed, and Michigan's staff—led by linebackers coach Alex Whittingham—has tracked him since his arrival.
