Michigan Football predicted to land commitments from 2 ELITE recruits
Michigan is gaining momentum in recruiting as 247Sports’ Brice Marich entered a Crystal Ball prediction for 2027 four-star offensive tackle Mataio Fano after an official trip to Ann Arbor for the Wolverines’ game versus Iowa. Fano is ranked No. 175 overall and is expected to visit Alabama, UCLA, Oklahoma, and Miami, though he doesn’t have a public commitment timetable. The family connection is a major factor: Kyle Whittingham coached Fano’s brothers at Utah, and Jim Harding and Lewis Powell also worked with them before moving to Michigan. Marich also predicted a commitment for 2028 four-star edge rusher Major Stokes after the same weekend. Michigan is also “very high” with 2028 tight end Jack McNamara, a 6-foot-5, 235-pounder from Chicago’s Brother Rice (No. 380 overall, No. 19 at TE).
