Michigan State OL throws up mid-play, RB loses pants during tackle

Michigan State’s Week 1 win over Toledo in East Lansing included two viral moments, one of them happening mid-play. During a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter on Friday, Sept. 4, Spartans right tackle Robert Wright Jr. used an unusual blocking action and then threw up mid-play as the ball was snapped, after losing his stomach amid Toledo’s pass rush. No Rockets got home, and Michigan State converted the attempt. The Spartans went on to win 30-20, giving new head coach Pat Fitzgerald his first victory with the program. Earlier, running back Cam Edwards had a wardrobe malfunction when his pants were pulled down during a tackle, though he corrected himself quickly. Edwards led all rushers with 27 carries for 98 yards. Next game for Michigan State is Sept. 12 vs. Eastern Michigan.
