Missouri football players prepare for Mississippi State cowbell world record attempt

Missouri’s football team will visit Mississippi State in Starkville this Saturday for a highly unusual challenge: State fans are aiming to set a world record for the “most cowbells ringing simultaneously” during the Tigers–Bulldogs matchup. The previous logistical details are being left to others, but Mizzou already has its own preparation. Linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez said staff members have been bringing cowbells into pregame practice and walking around ringing them near players’ ears, with Rodriguez estimating it could be “just about every staff member.” The game kicks off at 6:45 p.m. under the lights. Mississippi State is 3–0 and ranked No. 2 nationally in offense (544.7 yards/game).
