CF Montréal signed Chilean forward Alexis Sánchez as a free agent, the club announced Tuesday. The deal keeps him under contract through the 2027 “Sprint Season,” with an option for 2027–28, and places him in a Designated Player roster slot. Sánchez, who said he’s “very happy” to join the club, arrives after 18 European seasons that followed his rise at Cobreloa, Colo-Colo and River Plate. Across 788 games in Europe, he logged 215 goals and 154 assists and won 20 trophies. Internationally, he holds Chile records with 168 caps and 51 goals, including World Cups in 2010 and 2014 and Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016. Montréal sits 14th in the Eastern Conference with 16 points and is led by interim coach Philippe Eullaffroy.
