MSU Basketball Makes Cut Lists for Two Stellar Recruits

Michigan State is positioned as a serious option for two 2027 recruits after both Jaxson Davis and Jaydn Jenkins released cutdown lists on Saturday. Davis, a four-star point guard, narrowed his choices to six teams—MSU, Iowa, Marquette, Ohio State, Creighton and Minnesota—and is set to visit East Lansing on Oct. 1, with a reported visit to Iowa on Sept. 19. Ranked No. 41 overall by 247Sports Composite and No. 11 at point guard, Davis fits a pass-first “true point guard” role. MSU also has offers out to Antonio Pemberton (No. 37) and Joshua Tyson (No. 56). Jenkins, another four-star, listed five schools—MSU, NC State, Ohio State, Georgetown and Xavier—and will allow MSU its first look on Aug. 12 as the Spartans aim to address center needs.
