NBA champion Kevin Love is bringing trading cards back to the Portland suburb where he grew up
NBA champion Kevin Love is expanding into sports collectibles with the opening of a new trading card shop in his Portland-area hometown. The Alley, supported by Love as a partner and investor, opened last week in Lake Oswego and is positioned as a destination for both collectors and newcomers. The store officially launched on Thursday at 435 Second St., and Love’s brother Collin Love, along with Oregonians Samuel Soong and Darick Dang, founded the business. As a Topps Authorized Direct Partner, The Alley says it has access to a selection of sports and other trading cards, mixing new releases with in-demand vintage packs. The venue also includes a lounge area for rest and a Community Breaking Studio for pack or box breaks, including livestreamed openings. Love, a five-time NBA All-Star and 2016 champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers, most recently played for the Utah Jazz.
