New Seahawks owner Vinod Khosla admits to being 'big fan' of another NFL team in bizarre twist

Vinod Khosla, approved this week as the new majority owner of the Seattle Seahawks alongside Neeru Khosla, used his Wednesday introductory press conference to share an unexpected football confession. Khosla said he is a “big Steelers fan,” noting he came to the United States in 1976 when Pittsburgh was winning the Super Bowl and has continued to watch every Steelers game. He pointed to the Steelers’ 1970s dominance, when they won four championships with players including Franco Harris, “Mean” Joe Greene, Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert and Terry Bradshaw. The 71-year-old, a longtime venture capitalist and co-founder of Sun Microsystems, framed his goal as keeping Seattle winning and chasing another Super Bowl.
