BBC Radio 4 - The King Must Die, Episode 1

BBC Radio 4 presents Episode 1 of The King Must Die, a new dramatization of Mary Renault’s novel about Theseus and his confrontation with the Minotaur. The cast features Theseus (Shane Zaza), Persephone (Rakie Ayola), and Poseidon (Raad Rawi), among others. The drama is dramatized by Robin Brooks, directed and produced by Fiona McAlpine, with music by Matthew Sheeran. Recording took place on location in Suffolk, and Allegra produces the program for BBC Radio 4. Renault’s tale follows Theseus as he seeks his birthright and ventures toward Knossos to face the Labyrinth’s Minotaur.
