Game 1 begins at 12:35 PM ET with Brandon Young (3-1, 4.25 ERA) facing Framber Valdez (2-3, 4.58 ERA); Framber's velocity has been uneven this month. Game 2 features Trevor Rogers, who is 1-5 with an 8.42 ERA over his last seven starts. Detroit has not announced a Game 2 starter as of late morning.
