NFL reverses Kyle Juszczyk fine for 'offensive demonstration' after touchdown - CBS Sports
The NFL rescinded a fine imposed on San Francisco 49ers tight end Kyle Juszczyk after it was initially issued for an “offensive demonstration” following his touchdown celebration against the Miami Dolphins in Week 2. The league had fined Juszczyk $14,926, believing he imitated a beer-chug during the celebration. After further review, the NFL reversed the decision, determining the action did not warrant the penalty and describing it as an “offensive demonstration” mistake. Juszczyk, 35, said the celebration was a reference to his nickname, “Juice.” Quarterback Brock Purdy also defended him, saying he had seen the same celebration for years. The touchdown came when San Francisco led 28-6 late in the third quarter. The 49ers have started 4-0 this season with Juszczyk in his 14th year with the team.
