NFL Rumors: Where things stand with Stefon Diggs as training camp looms
NFL rumors ahead of training camp focus on Stefon Diggs, who remains a free agent as teams prepare to open camps. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that at least five teams needing a wide receiver have checked in on Diggs, though Fowler cautioned they would have to manage “baggage and headlines.” The report links Diggs to two lawsuits: one involving a stolen Ferrari and another involving defamation and sexual assault allegations, according to TMZ. The 32-year-old spent the 2025 season with the Patriots as their No. 1 receiver, producing 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns while building chemistry with Drake Maye. New England released Diggs in March and later signed Romeo Doubs to a four-year deal, then acquired A.J. Brown in June. Diggs also sent a message to teams via a YouTube video claiming he can be a “No. 2” at a higher level than others.
