NFL says teams can't sign Zxavian Harris and Dae'Quan Wright after they attempted to play for LSU

The NFL says Zxavian Harris and Dae'Quan Wright are ineligible to sign with any NFL teams this season after they attempted to return to college and play for LSU, according to a memo sent to league clubs. Harris, a defensive tackle, and Wright, a tight end for Ole Miss last season, both went undrafted and had tryouts in the NFL this summer. They then sought to re-establish college eligibility after LSU was allowed to keep the case active in court but ultimately left both players off its roster. The memo, dated Wednesday, states both players returned to college after the start of NFL training camp and therefore cannot visit, try out, or be signed during the 2026 season.
