At a The Greenbrier Resort team session in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, the rookie tackle (6-foot-6, 335 pounds) faced teammate Abdul Carter (6-foot-3, 252 pounds) in rare, full-speed 1-on-1 drills. After a first rep Carter held a lane after Mauigoa tried to win inside, Mauigoa said he recovered on the second, even as Carter again used quickness to beat him. The moment echoed Carter’s offseason promise to ready him after Micah Parsons, now a Green Bay Packer, issued a nonchalant warning about meeting him “eventually.”
