Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton's eye-opening admission on 16-month journey

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton returned to live NBA action on Wednesday night after a 16-month absence, playing a preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Hilton Coliseum, the home of Iowa State University. It was his first appearance since tearing his right Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. Haliburton logged 16 minutes, finishing with seven points, six assists, two blocks and one steal while shooting 3-of-8 from the field and 1-of-3 from three. Indiana beat Minnesota 123-112, and Haliburton said the long comeback changed his perspective on basketball and life. He also personally paid to let Iowa State students attend for free.
